Shadow (2013)

Rajaram (Venkatesh) is the son of Raghuram (Nagababu). Raghuram is an investigative journalist who infiltrates the criminal organisation of Nana Bhai (Aditya Pancholi) and earns his trust. He gathers evidence against the activities of Nana and hands them over to newspaper publisher CP (Shayaji Shinde). 

This is discovered by Nana Bhai and he eliminates Raghuram in a brutal manner. He also destroys Raghuram’s family. Rajaram manages to escape from the carnage and he vows to take revenge on Nana.

With the help of Baba (Nasser), Rajaram grows up into a powerful young man. He assumes the identity of ‘Shadow’ and starts hunting members of Nana Bhai’s gang. Meanwhile, Prathap (Srikanth) comes into the story as a tough cop who is also after Nana Bhai’s gang.

As expected, the paths of Rajaram and Prathap cross, leading to friction. But Rajaram soon learns that he has a very strong association with Prathap. What is that association? Who is Prathap? Will ‘Shadow’ succeed in his mission? That forms the story of this film

Priyathama Neevachata kusalama (2013)

The movie starts off in Rajamundhry, where Varun(Varun Sandesh) a happy go lucky guy loves Preethi(Haaskika) and tries to woo her always. Tired of his proposals, Preethi finally says yes to Varun and accepts his proposal. As time moves on the couple spend some happy times and one fine day Preethi’s dad, Rao(Rao Ramesh) comes to know about his daughters love. An angry Rao decides to get Preethi married to a different guy.

An upset Varun decides to elope with Preethi and plans everything accordingly. Now, when the actual time of eloping arrives, Preethi gives Varun an absolute shocker and leaves him for good. A shocked Varun gets very depressed and loses hope in life.

When Varun is going through his bad phase, Kundana(Komal Jha) enters his life and helps him out of his problems. She falls in love with Varun and proposes to him. At first Varun rejects her love, but later accepts her proposal. As time passes by Kundana and Varun start getting huge problems and finally break up with each other. What is the shock that Preethi gave to Varun? What are the difference that caused Kundana and Varun to break up? Will they get united once again ? That forms the rest of the story.

Swamy Ra Ra (2013)

The movie starts off with a precious Ganesh idol being stolen from the famous Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The value of the idol is priceless and it starts moving on from one hand to the other. Slowly, big gangsters get involved and try to con each other for the idol. On the other hand, Surya(Nikhil) is a pickpocket artist who along with his group of three, does small time robberies to for his survival.

One day Surya happens to meet Swati(Swati) a journalist and becomes good friends with her. The precious Ganesh idol, after moving through numerous hands, accidentally lands in Swati’s hand bag. Hell breaks out as the evil gangster(Ravi Babu) comes to know about this and comes after Swati and Surya. Rest of the story is about how Surya and Swati manage to face the gangsters and come out of the tricky situations successfully.

Jai Bolo Telangana (2011)

Bandhagi Gopanna (Jagapathi Babu) appeals to the people of Telangana to revolt against the atrocities of the government and fight for a separate Telangana state. However, before his voice would reach out to more people, he is killed. Few years later, his son (Sandeep) and wife (Smriti Irani) shift to Hyderabad where Sandeep pursues his studies in a university.

He bumps into Meera Nandan and love happens between the two. When they go to their ancestral village, Sandeep opens his eyes towards how the people across the region have been suffering from years of apathy and negligence and convinces himself that their problems won't be solved unless a Telangana state is formed.

When he returns, the suicide of his close friend, Chari snowballs into a wide scale movement demanding for a separate state. How their lives change over a period of time forms the rest of the story.

Arundathi Nakshtram (2009)

Three girl students are found to have committed suicide in a boarding school in Alwaye under mysterious circumstances. Their boyfriends are interrogated by the cops, and one of them, Ananthu goes into depression. He happens to be the boyfriend of one of the dead girls, Gowri. The case remains unresolved.

A year later, investigating officer Sreekanth's niece Parvati joins the school, and is given the same room where Gowri used to stay. Soon Parvati starts acting weird, which is noted by her classmates, and even the school driver and peon start to also see Gowri appearing at night in the school corridors. Gowri's spirit soon appears before Parvati, seeking her help. At times, it also gets into Parvati, making her act possessed. It even makes Parvati go to Ananthu's house and cheer him up. It is then shown that Gowri and her two friends were very happy go lucky characters in the school, and something happens during a picnic which changes their lives forever.

The film then moves to Aloyshi, the school music and dance teacher, and a lecturer Jennifer, who seem to be very friendly. Aloyshi takes a liking for Parvati, and encourages her to give splendid performances at all college functions, which she does, as Gowri's spirit would be doing that for her. Soon afterwards, Gowri's spirit, in the guise of Parvati, goes to Jennifer's house and immolates the whole place, killing her. Sreekanth sees a laptop at Jennifer's house and gets it repaired. Later, he finds Jennifer's laptop loaded with nude pictures of the girls staying in the hotel. He orders investigation into the matter. Sreekanth also comes to know that Jennifer was an immoral woman. He visits Aloyshi and notes that the latter is a very shady character.

Mirchi (2013)

Jai (Prabhas) is an architect based in Milan. He comes across Manasa (Richa) and instantly falls in love with her. Our tall and handsome hero starts wooing Manasa and she reciprocates. Just as the track gets going, Jai comes to know about the violent family background of Manasa. He decides to reform this family ,based in Macherla district of Palnadu area, and heads to India.

Manasa’s family is headed by Nagineedu, Bannerjee, Sampath Raj and Subbaraju. With the help of bank manager Veera Pratap (Brahmanandam), Jai slowly starts reforming the family and he wins the appreciation of all, except Sampath Raj.

As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Jai has a deep connection with the Palnadu area and with Deva (Sathya Raj). Deva is the arch enemy of Manasa’s family. Manasa also realises that Jay is romantically involved with another woman, Vennela (Anushka).

What is Jai’s past and how is he related to Deva? Will he reform Manasa’s family and win her hand or will he go with Vennela? That forms the story of this movie.

Gundello Godaari (2013)

The story of the film is loosely based on a novel named ‘Godavari Kathalu’, written by BVS Rama Rao. The film is set in 1986, in a remote village near Rajahmundry. Malli ( Aadi) and Chitra (Lakshmi Manchu) are a newly wed couple who are forced to battle it out against a devastating flood. They lose all hope of survival, so they decide to narrate the darkest moments of their lives to each other.

Malli is an honest and hardworking fisherman whose life ambition is to buy a fishing boat of his own. He works under Sambasivayya, a fishing merchant. Sarala (Tapsee) is Sambasivayya’s daughter and she lusts after Malli. A frightened Malli tries his best to fend off Sarala’s advances, but succumbs in the end. His simple life is shattered when Sambasivayya comes to know about the matter.

Chitra is a simple village girl who grows up admiring Suri (Sundeep Kishan). She works under Dhorababu (Ravi Babu), who is a womaniser, and is constantly forced to fend off his lecherous advances. A misunderstanding with Suri shatters her life and she is left all alone. Just when things seem to be taking a turn for the better, fate deals her a crucial blow. She is forced to choose between her modesty and Suri’s life. What does she do?

Will Malli and Chitra survive the flood? What happens after they confess their secrets to each other? That forms the story of ‘Gundello Godaari’.

Sarocharu (2012)

Sandhya (Kajal Aggarwal) is a student who is madly in love with Karthik (Ravi Teja), a techie based in Italy. She decides to travel with him to India, confident that the travel time would be enough for her to get Karthik to fall in love. Karthik reciprocates her gestures in a friendly way, but finally reveals that he has a past – a past that has a deep romantic love story involving Vasu (Richa Gangopadhyay).

Sandhya comes to know about Karthik’s stint in Ooty as a football coach and about his affair with Vasu. She also realises that despite all that baggage, she still has feelings for Karthik. Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013)

The story of ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is set in a small village called Relangi. The story revolves around a lovable family headed by Prakash Raj. Fondly called as Relangi Mavayya by his nephews and nieces, Prakash Raj is seen as a kind hearted gentleman who gives great importance to human values and relationships. He has two sons – Peddodu (Venkatesh) and Chinnodu (Mahesh Babu).

Venkatesh is seen as a strong willed and highly emotional guy who does not like to bow down to others. He believes in doing what is right and waits for the ‘big golden chance’ in life. He is unemployed, but very honest and loves his younger brother Mahesh a lot. Seetha (Anjali) is his maradalu. She is very attached to Venkatesh and grows up believing him to be her husband.

Mahesh Babu on the other hand, is a witty and charming young lad who is irresistible to women. He tries to talk his way out of situations using his wit. He falls in love with Geetha (Samantha), who happens to be the daughter of Rao Ramesh. Rao Ramesh is seen as an arrogant guy who ridicules Prakash Raj and his family for their low wealth.

The unemployment of Venkatesh and the ridicule heaped on the family by relatives puts some strain on the relationships. Both Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu find that their love lives also get affected by all this.

Bakara (2013)
