Katha Screenplay Darsakathvam Appalaraju (2011)

Appalaraju (Sunil) who is an avid film buff comes to Hyderabad with an aim to become a top film director. He has a heroine oriented script Nayaki, with which he impresses a smalltime producer Rakhi (Raghu Babu). Later on a top heroine Kanishka (Sakshi Gulati) gets bowled over by Appalaraju’s script and readily accepts to star in it. The hero character is too small in it but Kanishka convinces her boy friend and top hero Babu (Adarsh) to be a part of the film. 

So, Nayaki turns out to be a star studded film in making. However, Kanishka and Babu breaks up and in comes KT (Ajay) an upcoming superstar into the film. This irks Babu and he tries in every possible way to put breaks on Nayaki. On the other hand, Appalraju who was earlier stubborn in changing his script for commercial conveniences and starry glitches starts to make a film according to the hero and producer will. 

His aim to make a new wave film doesn’t get fulfilled but he becomes a successful film director and he also bags a Gurram award as the best comedy director with Nayaki

Dongala Muta (2011)

Ravi Teja and Charmi are on their way to a wedding when their car breaks down all of a sudden. They find a resort in that area; however the resort itself is completely deserted except for three people (Subbaraju, Supreeth and Brahmaji) who seem quite reluctant to have guests at their place. Supreeth lusts for Charmi and lets them stay in the resort which is almost in a dilapidated condition.

Ravi Teja, who's furious and frustrated by the lack of facilities in his hotel room, finds himself being threatened by the trio who turn out to be thieves. When he tries to escape from the place along with Charmi, the duo is confronted by Lakshmi Manchu and her assistant Sunil. The rest of the story is about how Ravi Teja and Charmi manage to escape from the resort.

Nippu (2012)

Surya (Ravi Teja) is a gym coach and he is very close to Sri (Sriram) and his family. Murthy (Rajendra Prasad) is Sri’s father and Meghana (Deeksha Seth) is his sister. Surya is a man who fights against any injustice he comes across and this brings him into direct conflict with Raja Goud ( Pradeep Rawat). In a separate track, Sriram gets into major trouble in Saudi Arabia and Ravi Teja must do everything he can to save his friend’s life.

In a curious twist of fate, only Raja Goud has the ability to save Sriram from certain death. Will Surya enter into a compromise with Raja Goud? How can Raja Goud save a man in trouble in Saudi Arabia? That forms the story.

Nandeeswarudu (2012)

Nandu (Taraka Ratna) is an obedient son to his father Ananda Bhupati (Suman), who is rich and respected in their village. Nandu wants to study IPS, but gets into a fight with Baba (Ajay), which changes his life forever. He gets arrested and sent to prison, and a result he would be out of the college and his home as well. 

Nandu turns Nandeeswarudu and starts helping the needy. A police officer (Jagapathi Babu) is after him and how Nandeeswarudu eliminates all the evil from the city forms rest of the story.

Maddeladaruvu Suri kills a politician named Nandyala Srinu and gets caught by the police after he was paid 500 crores for his job. Suri starts doing business from the prison itself and he takes the help of a film producer Chiyyan to make the 500 crores black money into white. 

Chiyyan makes a couple of films with director Ram Bhupal Sharma which ends up as flops. Meanwhile a series of murders takes place and we come to know that it is all being done by Priya. Why is she killing everyone is the main point in this story.

Mogudu (2011)

Bujji (Gopichand ) is the only son of a wealthy and influential farmer Anjaneya Prasad ( Rajendra Prasad ). The family is well knit together and has strong values and attachments. Bujji comes across Raja Rajeshwari ( Tapsee ) in unexpected circumstances and falls in love with her. Raja Rajeshwari is the daughter of a powerful politician Chamundeshwari ( Roja) and Naresh. 

The families agree to the marriage and just when everything seems nice and happy, unexpected circumstances cause a rift between them.

Into this scenario comes Jo ( Shraddha Das ) who is madly in love with Bujji. This further escalates the tensions. The rest of the movie is about whether Bujji sorts out the differences between the families and wins his wife back.

The Dirty Picture (2011) Telugu

Balaji and Alt Entertainment’s The Dirty Picture (A) is the story of a struggling actress, Reshma (Vidya Balan), and how she makes it big in the glamour world.

Reshma runs away from home on the day she is to get married as she dreams of a career as a leading lady in films. After a lot of hardships, she gets to show her dancing skills in a film. The film’s director, Abraham (Emraan Hashmi), deletes the sexy song from the film as he is against sex-laden songs in his film. However, producer Selva Ganesh (Rajesh Sharma) adds the song and turns a flop film into a successful one. He now decides to launch Reshma as a leading lady in his next film as he sees a lot of potential in her. Rechristening her Silk, Selva Ganesh introduces her in a film with superstar Surya (Naseeruddin Shah). However, it’s not so easy for Silk who has to sell her body to win the superstar’s favour and not be thrown out of the film by him.

Silk soon becomes a big star as success kisses her feet. Of course, Surya won’t let her forget how it was because of him that she was a superstar today. His sexual escapades with Silk become regular.

Even as Silk’s career is on a roll, director Abraham falls upon bad times. But he is still wary of Silk who uses her sexuality on screen to entice the audience.

Silk begins to resent Surya’s sexual advances towards her and she soon finds a sympathiser in Ramakant (Tusshar), the younger brother of Surya and a struggling film writer. Much to Surya’s annoyance, Silk has an open affair with Ramakant. Although Ramakant is a good soul, he doesn’t have the courage to stand by Silk because of pressures from his elder brother. In disgust, Silk walks out on Ramakant.

Ayyare (2012)

Venkatesam (Shivaji) is a mechanic who runs his own garage. He is a carefree and fun loving guy who loves to enjoy life. He comes across Anjali (Anisha Singh) and it is love at first sight for the hero. Anjali too reciprocates the love and a romantic track ensues. Anjali’s father Sivaprasad (Sivaprasad) comes to know about this love affair and he decides to seek the advice of his guru ‘Parakaya Baba’ ( Rajendra Prasad). Baba asks Sivaprasad to go ahead with the marriage.

As marriage arrangements are in full swing, Baba changes his mind and orders the marriage to be cancelled. Why does Baba change his mind? What relation does Baba have with Venkatesam? And what is the history of this Baba? That forms the story of Ayyare.

Badmaash (2010)

Avinash is a typical good for nothing chap, or so he seems though he finds a seat in an engineering college with strict disciplinary rules. The college principal, Nagi Reddy, doesn't like sports, or fun or the typical love stories that happen in colleges. His daughter Amrutha, is much like him and she too studies in the same college.

Avinash, who is a kind of a rebel, atleast for the college, helps a college mate and her boyfriend. In the process Amrutha, changes her views about college-love stories and falls madly for Avinash. When the girl's father comes to know of it, the hero challenges him on phone to find who he is if he can. Apart from various other side tracks, how long Avinash keeps the girl's father from recognizing his true side forms the rest of the story.

Vaishali (2011)

Vasu (Aadhi) falls in love with Vaishali (Sindhu Menon) during their college days. Vaishali accepts the love of Vasu but clarifies him that her father’s approval is a must for the marriage. Her father disapproves Aadi and marries his daughter off to another guy. 

After a few years, Aadi becomes an IPS officer and Vaishali kills herself. Aadi is given the responsibility of the investigation. The rest of the story is all about how Aadi cracks the case and brings guilty to book.
